So after Juval Lowy’s session we had a break, and when we started again Ron Jacobs took the stage.
Building REST services is not entirely my cup of tea, but during his talk he showed a couple of things.
- How do you build RESTful services with the current 3.5 bits; with .NET 3.5 we’ve got support for building REST services and support for producing/consuming ATOM and RSS feeds.
- How do you build these services with the today on CodePlex to be released ‘WCF REST Starter Kit’ which contains the following:
- A bunch of demo’s showing these new helper bits.
After this talk, we (Rutger, Edward and Steef-Jan) took the bus back to the hotels to get ready for some food and the Palermo party.
We went back the Adoro Mexican restaurant where we’ve also eaten yesterday. I can recommend the Steak Mignon!
Afterwards, we walked to Casey’s grill where the Palermo Party took place. Unfortunately, they enforced some safety policy which meant just place for a hundred people. By the look of it it wasn’t that crowded and we didn’t want to wait in line to get in, so went to the O Hotel bar (I’m staying in that hotel).
